National Survey of Kazakhstan Released – Казахстан опрос общественного мнения
A recent survey of Kazakhstan looked at attitudes and demographics as the relate to economics, politics and societal issues. The survey was conducted by the International Republican Institute (IRI) and is available in both Russian and English below. This in-depth analysis provides a snapshot of Kazakh public opinion in late 2009 and outlook for early 2010.

Almaty, Kazakhstan – The International Republican Institute (IRI) released its latest survey of Kazakhstan public opinion today. The poll, is a comprehensive analysis of attitudes regarding the Kazakhstani economic, social and political landscape.
On January 1, 2010, Kazakhstan will assume the chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The OSCE is the largest regional security organization in the world. Its mandate includes a wide range of issues including conflict prevention, arms control, good governance, democratization, fair elections and human rights. Kazakhstan’s chairmanship is significant as it will be the first ex-Soviet state to assume the position.
