Last Week’s Activity on the Turkmen Commodities Exchange

The following information comes to the CBJ from the Turkmenistan Weekly Energy Review (TWER), and represents transactions concluded in the past week.

 

40 transactions were concluded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

Representatives from Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates and Iran bought for  foreign currency A-80 and A-95 gasoline, TC-1 aviation kerosene, low sulphur fuel oil produced at the Turkmenbashi oil refineries. Virgin gasoline, M-100 fuel oil and diesel fuel produced at Seydi oil refinery were bought by businessmen from the UAE, Afghanistan and the Virgin Islands.

The choice of the businessmen from the UAE was iodine, technical A grade, (Turkmenhimiya State Concern). The transactions in foreign currency were also  concluded for ginned cotton, gray cloth, cotton yarn, cotton lint, refined cottonseed oil. The buyer-countries for these products included; China, Russia, the United States, Armenia, Belgium, Turkey, Virgin and the Seychelles.  These transactions, concluded in foreign currency, totalled over US$ 41.135 million.

Buyers from Kyrgyzstan concluded transactions in deposited manats for dyed terry towels including napkins, towels, bedsheets and gray cloth and cotton waste. The businessmen from Azerbaijan and Belize bought cotton yarn. The buyers from Kazakhstan, India, Iran, Turkey, Britain and the Virgin Islands concluded their transactions for cattle skin, raw silk cottonseed oil, cotton cake, washed goats’ hair, gray cloth, laundry soap and chewing gum. The transactions concluded in deposited manats totalled over 5.369 million manats.
